New Delhi, January 21, 2025—The Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) successfully organized a transformative workshop on “Skilling Construction Workers at Job Sites and Its Benefits to the Industry,” which focused on empowering the construction workforce and enhancing industry collaboration.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Construction Federation of India (CFI), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and over 20 leading construction companies such as Larsen & Toubro (L&T), KEC International, and Brigade Group. The workshop highlighted the importance of on-site skilling, adopting the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and leveraging CSR funding for impactful training programs.
A CSDCI spokesperson remarked, “On-site skilling bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, building a stronger workforce and driving national progress”. The workshop concluded with a unanimous commitment from all participants to advance skilling initiatives, ensuring the Indian construction industry remains globally competitive and future-ready.
