Empowering Tomorrow’s Builders: CSDCI’s Janbhagidari Event Unveils the Future of Sustainable Civil Engineering

The anticipation is palpable as we eagerly share details about the Janbhagidari event scheduled for the 14th of June. Organized under the umbrella of the G20 awareness campaign, the Civil Society Development Centre of India (CSDCI) orchestrated a series of enlightening workshops tailored for Civil Engineering students. This impactful event unfolded at JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College in Tathawade, Pune, with invaluable support from Know How Schools in both planning and execution.

The focal point of these engaging workshops was ‘Sustainability in Civil Engineering and Green Buildings Architecture.’ Spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Dipesh Bafna and Vivek Borate from Know How Schools, the sessions aimed to broaden the horizons of budding Civil Engineers.

During the workshops, participants were treated to a firsthand look at innovative raw materials revolutionizing the construction industry. The juxtaposition of sustainable construction materials against their conventional counterparts highlighted the strides made in promoting environmentally conscious practices. Bafna and Borate also delved into various examples of structures, sparking insightful discussions on their eco-friendliness.

A key takeaway from the event was the encouragement of future Civil Engineers to think innovatively and embrace their role as torchbearers of sustainability in the construction sector. The workshops were not just informative but served as a catalyst for instilling a sense of responsibility among the upcoming generation of builders.

The success of the event owes much to the enthusiastic participation of students, and credit is due to the unwavering support of Principal Sarita S. Gaikwad and Head of the Department Leena K. More from JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering. Their commitment and efforts were instrumental in the seamless implementation of the workshops, fostering an environment conducive to learning and innovation.

As we look forward to the Janbhagidari event on the 14th of June, it’s evident that this initiative is more than just a one-time gathering—it’s a stepping stone toward a future where sustainability and innovation go hand in hand in the realm of Civil Engineering. Kudos to CSDCI, Know How Schools, and all the stakeholders for contributing to the shaping of a more sustainable and responsible construction landscape.
